A pesar de la incomprensible prohibición de la música desde hace varias generaciones en su familia, Miguel sueña con convertirse en un músico consagrado, como su ídolo Ernesto de la Cruz (voz original en inglés de Benjamín Bratt). Desesperado por probar su talento, Miguel se encuentra en la impresionante y colorida Tierra de los Muertos como resultado de una misteriosa cadena de eventos. En el camino, encuentra al simpático timador Héctor (voz original en inglés y español de Gael García Bernal), y juntos se embarcan en una extraordinaria travesía para develar la verdadera razón detrás de la historia familiar de Miguel.

 

Dirigida por Lee Unkrich (TOY STORY 3), co-dirigida por Adrian Molina (diseñador de storyboard de MONSTERS UNIVERSITY) y producida por Darla K. Anderson (TOY STORY 3), COCO, la nueva película de Disney-Pixar, llega a los cines de Estados Unidos el 22 de noviembre de 2017 y de América Latina a partir del 27 de octubre.

 

Sinopsis corta:

En COCO, la nueva película de Disney-Pixar, Miguel, un aspirante a músico se une al simpático timador Héctor (voz original en inglés y español de Gael García Bernal) en una extraordinaria aventura en la Tierra de los Muertos.

 

 

NOTAS:

·          El director Lee Unkrich y la productora Darla K. Anderson trabajaron juntos en la película ganadora del Oscar®- y el Golden Globe®- 2010, TOY STORY 3, que es la segunda película animada más taquillera a nivel mundial.

·          COCO presenta una banda sonora original del compositor ganador de un premio Óscar® Michael Giacchino (UP: UNA AVENTURA DE ALTURA, ROGUE ONE: UNA HISTORIA DE STAR WARS), una canción de los ganadores de un Óscar® Kristen Anderson-Lopez y Robert Lopez (FROZEN: UNA AVENTURA CONGELADA), y canciones adicionales compuestas por Germaine Franco (Dope, Shovel Buddies) y Molina. El asesor musical Camilo Lara del proyecto musical Instituto Mexicano del Sonido también forma parte del equipo, así como los asesores culturales Lalo Alcaraz, Marcela Davison Avilés y Octavio Solís.
